Multi-Plate Filter
EfCI Multi-Plate Filters are the most economical filtration equipment in terms of price and maintenance. The main parts that make it up are:
The feed enters the filter plate series either through the central guide rod (central feed) or through the tank (external feed).
Each tray has a filtering surface (single or double sided) which allows the separation of the filtrate from the cake in a pressurized and thermoregulated atmosphere. At the end of the filtration cycle, the removable bell as well as the whole filtering block are removed thanks to a hoist and then placed on the ground in order to proceed to the debatizing and the cleaning.
During filtration, the rotation of the plate block is stopped. When the cake is formed, washed and/or dried, the liquid is drained off and the trays are gradually rotated until a speed is reached where the centrifugal force propels the cake against the walls of the tank. The cake then falls to the bottom and is discharged to an outlet valve.
Multi-Plate Filter with centrifugal separation
The Multi-Plate Centrifugal Stripper differs from other models by the presence of a motor and a gearbox on the central hollow shaft.
During filtration, the rotation of the plate block is stopped. Multi-Plate Scraping Filter
The Multi-Plate Scraping Filter is particularly recommended for very hard and/or sticky cakes, as well as for very safe applications.
After filtration, the filter plates rotate. A specially designed scraping device (manually or pneumatically operated) is placed between the plates and gradually loosens the cake, forcing it to fall to the bottom and into the outlet valve.
The main advantage of this system is that it is not necessary to open the filter to discharge the cake, thus avoiding any contact with the ambient air.
